Swiss Alps
Despite its small size, Switzerland affords an extremely wide range of activities, especially with regard to tourism in its magnificent Alps. The Alpine region of Switzerland, well-known as the Swiss Alps, represents the major natural feature of this country.
Ascending the Swiss mountains is effortless and very easy. There are cable cars, funiculars and cogwheel trains throughout the country, allowing everyone the enjoyment of the high Alpine scenery. Alpine lover or not, don’t leave Switzerland without having visited a mountain peak or two!
Skiing in Alpe des Chaux
This peaceful mountain chain is in the perfect location, just 1 hour and 50 minutes from Geneva. It represents the gateway to the Valais, one of the most charming cantons in Switzerland.
At an altitude of 1 550 meters, Alpe des Chaux is a ski resort in the heart of the Alpes Vaudoises, between Dents du Midi, the Argentine Massif with its imposing rock face called “Miroir d’Argentine”, and the Massif des Diablerets with its glacier offering many fun sporting activities throughout the year.
The great feature of this ski resort is that it provides something for everyone: choose from a host of many different sporting activities, both in winter and summer! First of all, skiing.
